Last month CTSI hosted an event for AHC faculty to learn more about CTSI, its vision moving forward and how it can help advance the careers and research of University investigators.
CTSI’s Center for Health Equity (CHE) holds a monthly “Works in Progress” seminar devoted to discussing minority health and health disparities research topics -- and is looking for speakers for its upcoming seminars.
The seminars give researchers a forum to freely discuss their developing research to exchange ideas, obtain constructive feedback, and discuss issues that may be common to various projects.
Earlier this month, CTSI wrapped up its first Translational Research Bootcamp, a three-day event that trains early stage investigators on core competencies in translational science.
The event featured a series of interactive activities with focused training in communication skill-building, team science, and informatics.
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) recognized nine researchers for having outstanding posters and presentations at the annual CTSI Poster Session and Reception held January 20 at McNamara Alumni Center.
At the CTSI Poster Session on Jan. 20, CTSI honored University of Minnesota Associate Professor Lynn Eberly, MS, PhD, with the first CTSI Biostatistician Mentor of the Year Award, which recognizes outstanding biostatistical mentors.
Mentees praised Dr. Eberly for her keen intellect, dedication, patience, thoughtfulness, and ability to help her mentees become successful independent researchers.
On Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 learn how CTSI is advancing forward, and how its funding programs and expert resources can help bring your discoveries into practice. This informal event is designed to arm University faculty with information on how best to use CTSI to advance their research projects and careers. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Last week, CTSI awarded four young researchers with travel awards so they can present their research at a national or international conference of their choice.
The Clinics and Surgery Center “Discovery Experience” includes creating patient awareness about research opportunities at the University through monitors with research messaging and StudyFinder kiosks stationed throughout the building, and includes embedding research into the entire patient experience and workflows, with the ultimate goal of increasing study participation and the number of clinical trials.
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute and Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota have formed a first-of-its-kind group dedicated to improving the health of Minnesota's children.
On November 16, the group will host the first in a series of Research in Child Health Dinner Forums.
On Tuesday, September 11, 56 University of Minnesota scholars and community partners presented their clinical and translational research projects in a poster session, which opened the first annual Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Research Conference.
