CTSI’s Best Practices Integrated Informatics Core (BPIC) team, which is a part of BMIP, welcomes three new data analysts who will be fully dedicated to serving the clinical data needs of researchers, clinicians and leaders within their assigned areas.
CTSI and CMRR are announcing a joint conference that will appeal to clinical investigators who currently use or anticipate using ultra-high field imaging in their clinical practice, individuals with interests in the clinical application of ultra-high field imaging, and early career investigators with a dual interest in ultra-high field imaging and the management of a particular clinical problem.

Researchers from the University of Minnesota and community are expanding upon work done during the Immigrant Microbiome Project that was partially funded by CTSI in 2015. The project identified changes in gut microbiomes in immigrant Hmong and Karen women living in Minnesota and Thailand to potentially uncover why there is a shift or decline in their health once immigrants are living in the United States.
CTSI joins the world-wide celebration May 20 to recognize Clinical Trials Day to honor those who are at the forefront of conducting and raising awareness of clinical trials across the health sciences and throughout the University of Minnesota to improve health.
Nearly 80 technology innovators, clinicians, investors, academics and members of the medical device industry gathered in April to better understand academic-industry relationship barriers and catalysts for innovation during the fifth annual Pediatric Device Breakthrough Collaborative event.
A new online resource, developed by experts in CTSI and the Department of Pediatrics, is now available to University of Minnesota clinical researchers, grant coordinators and others to help them save time when completing the National Institutes of Health Study Record, which is used to collect information on proposed human subjects research, clinical research, and clinical trials.
A sixth cycle of funding is available through a collaboration between CTSI and the Mayo Clinic's Center for Clinical and Translational Science, and in conjunction with the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics for projects that have the potential to be commercialized through the formation of a start-up company or execution of a license agreement with an established commercial entity.
Eleven pre- and post -doctoral trainees from across the University of Minnesota and Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute have been awarded two-year TL1 research career development awards to improve human health by catalyzing and accelerating the translation of research findings to the community.
