Nominate a UMN Faculty Member for CTSI's Biostatistician Mentor Awards

Published by CTSI on October 5, 2015

CTSI is accepting nominations for its Biostatistician Mentor Awards until Thursday, Nov. 12.

A current or past CTSI-Ed Scholar may nominate a single faculty member, who has served as a biostatistical mentor, by submitting a nomination letter that addresses the three main award criteria, including assistance and guidance in research, interpersonal and motivational skills, and promotion of career development. In addition, two supporting letters must be included with the nomination.

Nominees must have a faculty appointment at the University of Minnesota, must have served as a mentor for any current or past CTSI-Ed Scholar through its various programs, and must be up-to-date on all mentor training, reports and/or evaluations required by the CTSI-Education Program.

Nominees will be contacted by CTSI-Ed with instructions to submit their Training Record and current NIH Biosketch by December 3.

A CTSI-constituted committee, chaired by Drs. Esam El-Fakahany and Annie Marie Weber-Main, will review the nominations and select the awardees. The award winner will be announced at CTSI’s Annual Poster Session awards ceremony, Jan. 20, 2016.
