CTSI Biomedical Informatics Program (BMIP) delivers new support to three health sciences departments

The CTSI Biomedical Informatics Program (BMIP) recently entered into agreements with the School of Dentistry, the Department of Anesthesiology, and the Department of Medicine’s Cardiovascular Division to provide dedicated informatics support. The goal of these collaborations is to deliver secure and compliant clinical data access, extraction and preparation expertise utilizing the AHC Secure Data Environment that is managed by BMIP.

CTSI’s Best Practices Integrated Informatics Core (BPIC) team, which is a part of BMIP, welcomes the three new data analysts who will be fully dedicated to serving the clinical data needs of researchers, clinicians and leaders within their assigned areas.

“The collaborations envision that by use of these dedicated resources, researchers and clinicians will more effectively generate viable research project ideas, publish in peer-reviewed forums, attain extramural research funding, improve patient quality of care, and utilize data for operations and leadership support activities,” said Ahmad AbuSalah, Ph.D., MSc., Director of Clinical Informatics Services.
