CTSI is pleased to work with the Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) to hold this important workshop, facilitated by OED's Stef Jarvi, Director of Education.

Registration for this virtual event is required and is limited to 60 participants. Please RSVP to ensure your spot.

Objectives

If “diversity is everybody’s everyday work,” then what is my role?

This foundational workshop introduces participants to the core concepts around equity, diversity, and social justice. Key topics include:

  • Foundational terminology
  • Understanding our own identities
  • Exploring bias and oppression
  • How to work to be an ally and advocate in this work
Format

This workshop will be broadcast live via Zoom, but will not be recorded. Participants will receive Zoom connection information after registering for the event.

Attendance

While attendance is encouraged, OED asks that departments and supervisors not require their staff to participate in this workshop. For participants who wish to receive credit toward the Equity and Diversity Certificate, OED will track workshop completion in Training Hub.

Due to the content, a continuing education contact hour will not be provided at this workshop.
