Community Health Collaborative Pilot Grants

This funding program supports community-university pilot research projects that address important health issues identified by Minnesota communities.

Awards are designed to stimulate high-impact research that ultimately leads to health improvements, while building and sustaining long-term partnerships between University of Minnesota researchers and community representatives, including nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community advocates.

Program overview

  • Supports health research collaborations between University of Minnesota investigators and individuals or groups from outside the University, such as nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community advocates
  • Up to four projects are anticipated to receive up to $50,000 each to be used over 18 months
  • Partner-matching support is available to help community members find University researchers with complementary skills and expertise, as well as connect University researchers to community collaborators

Application details

The mandatory LOI period has closed. Invitations to selected projects will be issued by Sept. 18 to submit full proposals by Oct. 16. See the application materials below for more information about this most recent awards cycle.
