Purpose of the Summit
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) of the University of Minnesota’s mission is to transform the way in which clinical and translational research is conducted to better engage communities throughout the process. To this end, the Office of Community Engagement for Health (OCEH) of the CTSI would like to invite you to participate in the second annual community engagement summit to further articulate how the community and University can work together to improve community health through engaged research.
The overall goal of this Summit is to gather community advisory members, university engagement faculty and staff, and others interested in furthering this goal to celebrate our growing partnerships and discuss recommendations for supporting engagement between the Community and University to improve health. This meeting will include some plenary-style presentation and small group working sessions.
At the end of this meeting attendees should:
- Develop a shared understanding of the community engagement mission of the CTSI-OCEH,
- Share progress since the launch and last year’s summit and,
- Identify ways to individually and collectively achieve the community engagement mission
